The scale of our work varies from individual graphics such as a building map, or as built drawing, to small construction projects such as a porch, to larger residential additions and alterations, to new home design, to commercial tenant improvements in excess of 10,000 s.f., to industrial space plans up to 35,000 s.f., to industrial site planning of several acres.  We are often asked to do new project types by clients who have worked with us before.

These projects are what we call small projects.  They can be done by a small agile team, in some cases one person. 

Small does not necessarily mean without complication.  Today's design and construction environment is highly regulated and is becoming steadily more so.  Most of our projects begin with a zoning and building code feasibility assessment.  People are often surprised to learn that what they will be allowed to build is not the same as what they were hoping to build.  Much of what is built is built to specifically permitted exceptions and we work to identify whatever useful advantage the codes allow our clients.
